Saglietti Bianco assists companies and economic operators in preventing and managing issues connected with the protection of competition, with particular reference to unfair competition in its interplay with the enforcement of industrial property rights.

Our work is grounded in a systematic view of the field, which recognises the coexistence and possible overlap between the protection afforded by the Italian Industrial Property Code and that provided by the Civil Code in matters of unfair competition, both with regard to registered rights and to distinctive signs and other unregistered intangible assets. In this perspective, Saglietti Bianco assists clients in the defence against unfair competition practices – slavish imitation, misappropriation of goodwill, unlawful use of distinctive signs and exploitation of confidential information – including where such conduct overlaps with the infringement of industrial property rights.

The firm provides assistance both out of court and in judicial proceedings, applying an integrated approach that makes it possible to activate the most effective forms of protection, including preliminary injunctions and interim measures as well as remedies aimed at removing the effects of the wrongful acts.
